As a not-for-profit organization we are always looking for community members to help us assure the implementation of our projects.

- Developing brochure projects
Our volunteers are welcome to sit in on our quarterly council meetings and we strongly consider their input.

VFSC envisions a sustainable food system contributing to the health, economic vitality and social well-being of all Virginians. Our accomplishments to date include facilitating the Farm-to-Table Program, supporting several Farm-to-School events, educating legislators on local food system issues and collaborating with the Silver Diner restaurant chain to develop the Eat Well, Do Well initiative, where a portion of their revenue goes to support farm-to-school programs in the school districts served by these restaurants.

Share your ideas or knowledge
We invite and encourage the Virginia community to share their knowledge, news or food system related events with us so that we can relay them on our blog and facebook page. We also encourage our community to ask us questions. Please submit a comment on our comment link.
